Pears and Oats

I did a little experimentation with breakfast this morning. Truly, calling it breakfast or brunch is sort of fast and loose wording for dessert.


I need to get the recipe down a little more before I share too much, but for a first try it turned out pretty good. 


It ends up being one peeled and sliced pear, about a cup of old fashioned oats, a teaspoon of cinnamon, a tablespoon of maple or brown sugar, and some slices of butter all in one pan and baked for about 45 minutes to an hour at 300. The topping is just whipped heavy cream with powdered sugar for sweetening, but that's up to you to add.


Sprinkle more cinnamon at the end just for a pretty look.
